Trip To Rumney 2025
Earlier this year I went to Rumney NH with a bunch of rock climbing friends from Central Rock Gym in Rochester.
I wasn’t able to climb as much or as hard as I would have liked because of an elbow injury, but I made sure to bring along my camera, and I am so glad I did!
One of the many reasons that I love photography is how it can act as a conduit for building stronger connections. I knew many of the climbers on this trip, but I was able to learn more and connect with many folks from CRG who I had only exchanged a few words with.
Lizzy and Kat Stolling were my travel companions to Rumney.
Another reason I was glad I brought my camera was because it was very rainy throughout the trip, and there was lots of down time to edit photos.

I only sent (successfully accented) two climbs. Hippos on Parade, and The Terrace. And while I would have been fine just taking pictures on this trip, which does bring me a lot of joy, I am glad that I was able to get on the wall.
